You might not be aware of everything that is kept on the Samsung Cloud server if you’ve backed up numerous devices over time. No need to worry; you can effortlessly retrieve your device backups on a computer, tablet, or phone.

How to Access and Manage the Cloud from a Galaxy Phone or Tablet

If Samsung Cloud data isn’t used for more than a year, it will all be destroyed. This comprises information kept in the appropriate category, such as contacts, a calendar, and other things.

That particular piece of data will not be recoverable, but Samsung will let you know before deleting it. Also, Sync your data to stop your files from being erased.

Because they directly linked Samsung Cloud to your Samsung account, you can simply access it from the settings on your phone or tablet.

1. Navigate to and open settings.

2. Tap your name at the top of the screen and then tap Samsung Cloud.

3. From here, you can access the following options:

Sync: Select the apps or settings, such as Samsung Notes or Contacts, that you want to automatically sync to Samsung Cloud.

Back up Data: if something occurs to your phone, create a device backup that you can access later.

Restore: Download an earlier device backup to recover any lost data.

You can include a shortcut icon on your apps screen to make it simpler for you to access Samsung Cloud. However, in the top right corner, select More choices (the three vertical dots), then select Settings. After that, switch “Show Samsung Cloud on Apps screen” on.

Manage Cloud Storage from a Web Browser

If it has been more than a year since you have utilised any of the data kept in Samsung Cloud, it will be erased.

This comprises information that is kept in the category, including contacts, calendar events, images, and more.

That piece of data will not be recoverable, but Samsung will let you know before deleting it. (Sync your data to prevent deletion.)

Additionally, you can control your Cloud storage from a web browser; Chrome is recommended. Also, you might come across 2-step verification when using a web browser.

However, if you have any issues logging in or accessing your data, please review the section on 2-step verification.

Your backups are not available for individual download. You must sync your data to a compatible device if you need to recover data from Samsung Cloud.

The Information you can View on the Samsung Cloud Portal is as Follows:

1. Other Synced Data: Select Synchronised apps to view the apps and other data that have been synced with your account. Specific files cannot be viewed or downloaded here.

Therefore, only a summary of the synchronised apps will be available to you. Simply launch the app itself on your phone or tablet to examine or retrieve your app data.

2. Device Backups: You may manage and recover your backup data by selecting the Backup data and Restore data categories when accessing Samsung Cloud on your phone or tablet.

Also, if you’re using a computer to access the Cloud, click Device Backups to get a list of the devices you’ve backed up along with the date and time of the most recent backup.

3. My Knox and Secure Folder: You can sync data from your Secure Folder with the cloud as well. Select My Knox and Secure Folder.

Also, enter your account password to view the number of Secure Folders that have been backed up. Each device’s backup size and most recent backup time will also be shown.

However, you can access your data via the Secure Folder directly on the phone or tablet. My Knox and Secure Folder cannot be accessible using the Samsung Cloud settings on a phone or tablet.

Therefore, you can use the Chrome browser to access Samsung Cloud if you’re using a non-Samsung phone or tablet.
