Sophia Bush, the actress best known for her roles in One Tree Hill and Chicago P.D., and Ashlyn Harris, the former soccer player for the US national team and Orlando Pride, are reportedly dating amid their respective divorces from their spouses.
According to People magazine, a source from inside their social circle said that Bush and Harris have been friends for years and went out on their first dinner date a few weeks ago. The source also said that their divorces began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer. The source added that there is no salacious story behind their romance, though the public may want there to be.
Bush, 41, filed for divorce from her husband Grant Hughes, an entrepreneur, in August, after 13 months of marriage. They had tied the knot in May 2022 and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. They also requested the court to not grant spousal support to either party and that they each cover their own attorney’s fees.
Harris, 37, filed for divorce from her wife Ali Krieger, a fellow soccer pro, in September, after nearly four years of marriage. They had married in December 2019 and share two kids together: daughter Sloane, 2, and son Ocean, 14 months.
Sophia Bush and Harris have crossed paths numerous times in recent months. They were on a panel together at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in June, where they discussed their involvement in Angel City FC, a women’s soccer club that will join the National Women’s Soccer League in 2022. Bush is an investor in the club and Harris is a former player.
They also attended several events together, such as a Peacock watch party for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in July, a Kallmeyer’s New York Fashion Week show in September, and a party with Canadian soccer player Selenia Iacchelli in October.
